Giving Back To Local Schools

At Better World Books, we know nothing is more important than the education of young minds, especially when those minds are right here in our local community. A close second? Food of course! So when we had the chance to combine these two things, we didn’t hold back. Our enthusiastic BWB’ers held an impressive bake sale, a competitive chili cook off, as well as a silent auction to help raise money for the South Bend Education Foundation, an organization that powerfully advocates for funding many educational initiatives in the South Bend School Corporation.

We were beyond happy to help raise more than $1,000 in funding for these projects! Specifically, Better World Books was able to help the South Bend Education Foundation grow the Character Education training program for South Bend school leaders, as well as to provide ChromeBook carts in two local middle school reading programs.

We truly believe that people come before profits, and that in giving back to your community you’re always making the wisest investment. We wish our friends at the South Bend Education Foundation continued success in their admirable work, and look forward to working with them again in the future.
