Since late 2008 we have reused or recycled 27.5 million books. That’s a lot of books! But we know that there are many, many more preloved books out there that deserve a second chance to be read, loved and taken care of. Our discards and donations programme has allowed many organisations and individuals in the UK and Ireland to give their preloved books a second chance with our free and easy service. We’ve decided to extend that opportunity to more organisations (and books!), and we’re delighted to welcome our first employee in continental Europe!

Eric Vonk joined the Better World Books team in September as a Strategic Sales Executive in Europe. Eric has a background in sales having worked for many years in wholesale companies selling UK, US and German books to retail and webshops in The Netherlands and Belgium. In his spare time he enjoys travelling with his family, listening and playing music and reading anything from history books to science fiction and magazines. Eric is responsible for developing the activities of Better World Books in Western Europe and is really looking forward to building the business in Europe with the friendly team.
